Ramzan Special: Delicious Beef Kofta Recipe

Today we here to share a juicy kofta curry recipe made out of beef for this Ramzan season. The kofta curry is also known as meatballs curry. It is a sophisticated dish.

The word 'kofta' is a Persian word 'koftan', which means 'to mince'. The minced meat is mixed thoroughly with different spices which adds flavour to the meat.

Aloo Paneer Kofta Curry For Navratri

Generally koftas include a variety of fillings which need not be made of meat all the time . You can make veg koftas as well using paneer or with potatoes and zucchini.

For Kofta:

Minced meat - ½ kg (Beef)
Onion - 1 ½ (chopped)
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - ¼tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Pea flour - 2 tsp
Poppy seeds - 2 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Oil
Ginger Garlic Paste - ½ tsp
Salt To Taste

Mutton Kheema Kofta Curry Recipe

For Gravy:
Oil - ¼ cup
Onion - 1 ½ (chopped)
Ginger Garlic Paste - ½ tsp
Black pepper - 5 to 6
Tomato puree - 50gms
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
Yogurt - 1 cup
Salt to taste

Raw Banana Kofta Curry: Eastern Recipe

Method:
To make koftas:

Add chopped onions and ginger garlic paste in a bowl containing the minced meat. Mix well.

To this meat mixture add red chilli, coriander and turmeric powder along with some garam masala.

In a mixer add split pea flour and poppy seeds & make a thick paste.

Add this paste to the meat mixture, along with salt and some oil.

Mix the mixture well and keep it aside for a while.

Apply some oil on your palms and roll the meat mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs.

Paneer Kofta Curry

For Gravy:

Add oil in a pot, heat it and add chopped onions until they turn golden.

Add black pepper & ginger garlic paste to onions and fry for 2 mins. Make sure the flame is low.

Add tomato puree, coriander, red chilli & turmeric powder. Cook this mixture for 5 mins.

Add yogurt, to the pot & cook for another 5 mins. Stir until the curry is thick and smooth.

Add the meatballs to the curry & cover the pot for about 15 minutes.

Add water to make the gravy consistent. Let it cook on low flame by covering the lid.

Once the oil is secreted in the gravy, it is ready to be served hot.

Nutritional Tip: Beef is high in saturated fat and rich in proteins.

Tip: Add boiled eggs cut in half before serving.
